Handcrafted in Washington State from Buttero full-grain Italian leather, often called “the King of Patina.” Over time, it develops a natural sheen and deeper hue, creating a rich, character-filled finish that only gets better with age.

Buttero Vegetable Tanned Leather comes from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Italy. They are well known for their premium vegetable tanned leathers and the beautiful colors are they able to produce.
This veg tan leather is their top grade. It is full grain and has a nice balance between supple and firm. Conceria Walpier is also a member of the Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata Al Vegetable, a consortium of leather tanneries sharing the same high standards of production, and a mark of quality and authenticity.
***Due to the nature of full-grain leather, some natural blemishes (scars, slight brands, stretch marks) and color variations may occur. These minor imperfections do not take away from the quality or strength of the product- but rather provide character. Full Grain Leathers have all of the natural markings of the original animal hide because the leather has not been buffed, sanded, or snuffed to remove the natural grains and markings.
